About Raimat Molí Cabernet Sauvignon

Raimat El Molí (formerly known as Raimat Molí Cabernet Sauvignon) is a red wine from the DO Costers del Segre, crafted by Raimat. As the name suggests, it is a single-varietal cabernet sauvignon.

The grapes used for Raimat El Molí are sourced from the winery's own vineyards, cultivated using integrated methods, as certified by the Consell Català de Producció Integrada (CCPI).

Once the grapes arrive at the winery, they undergo fermentation with their skins for 10 days in stainless steel tanks.

This process is conducted at temperatures between 25°C and 28°C. During this period, several pump-overs are performed. Following the alcoholic fermentation, the must of Raimat El Molí undergoes malolactic fermentation.

Finally, Raimat El Molí matures for several months in semi-new American oak barrels from Virginia. Ultimately, Raimat El Molí rests for an additional six months in the bottle before being released to the market.

The Raimat winery building dates back to 1918. Joan Rubió i Bellver, a disciple of Antoni Gaudí, designed what was then the first building constructed with reinforced concrete in Spain. It was fittingly dubbed the "cathedral of wine".

Raimat El Molí 2020 exhibits a deep cherry hue with purple tinges. Bringing the glass to the nose reveals vibrant aromas of forest fruits such as blackberries and blueberries, complemented by hints of fresh fruit. This 2020 vintage, in particular, is distinguished by a meticulous selection of barrels that enhances its spiced flavours and overall balance, making each sip a well-rounded and rewarding experience.
2019
Raimat El Molí 2019 unveils a spectrum of aromas with predominant fresh forest fruits complemented by an exceedingly delicate hint of spice, alongside nuances of chocolate and oak. Upon tasting, it exhibits a striking freshness, delivering an immersive experience brimming with flavor, with supple tannins rendering this red wine an approachable and pleasurable choice.
 
2018

Raimat El Molí 2018 is an elegant red wine. The nose is intense, with aromas of forest fruits and fresh fruit, cocoa and hints of wood. The palate is full-bodied and enveloping. Velvety tannins, with good structure. Flavours of black fruits and spices.
2011 Sophisticated and full-bodied, it exhibits remarkably refined tannins. It is enduring and delightful, but above all, it possesses an extensive finish.

Deep red with violet hues.

Robust in character. It unveils aromas of forest fruits interlaced with red fruit notes. Nuances of chocolate and vanilla are also present.
2009

2008 A very balanced and very pleasant red wine from Costers del Segre. It shows a soft attack and an intense, very tasty mid palate in which the notes felt in the nose become very expressive nose. Good acidity. Its tannins are noticeable but nice. Good finish with a greater persistence than in previous vintages.

Bright and dark red colour with a medium robe. 

The creaminess of its milky and sweet spices wraps the expressive notes of fresh and ripe red fruit. Its elegant toasted notes, the aromas of peppers and its subtle hints of sweet cocoa form a complex background.
2007 Nice and gentle attack. Fresh mid palate with lots of red fruit among cocoas, coffees, spices, pastries,... Very tasty. Reffined tannins, not very well integrated, which provide the wine with a touch of astringency. Good finish.

Intense bright and dark red with a medium robe. 

Very good aromatic intensity with all kinds of aromas of red fruit: blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, currants, berries... all of them cloacked with notes of milk, vanilla, toasted, pepper and chocolate.
2006 Opulent in the mouth, with aromas of forest fruits intermingled with Notes of chocolate and coffee come from aging.
