Vermouth Martínez Lacuesta Reserva is a very aromatic and flavorous vermouth. Roasted aromas of mountain herbs, oak and coffee stand out on the nose. The palate is bitter, with hints of ripe fruit and spices. 

 

About Vermouth Martínez Lacuesta Reserva

Directly from the legendary Martínez Lacuesta winery in La Rioja comes Vermouth Martínez Lacuesta Reserva.

Since 1937, Vermouth Martínez Lacuesta Reserva has been produced in these wineries located in the city of Haro, in the Rioja Alta (northwest of the province). At that time, in spite of the problems with production and elaboration (since at that very moment the Spanish Civil War was being fought) José Martínez Lacuesta bought the recipe from José M. Jové Arnabat (an industrialist from Villafranca del Penedés). In this way, he acquired all the rights to produce Vermouth Martínez Lacuesta Reserva.

Nowadays, the same traditional method is still used: white wine base and plants with aromatic herbs, subsequent maceration and ageing and final ageing for 7 months in new French oak barrels from Allier (with medium toasting).

This last touch is what makes Vermouth Martínez Lacuesta Reserva so unique and special.
