About Torres Viña Esmeralda Sparkling

Dry or fruity? The choice between a dry white wine or a fruity one is undoubtedly a matter of personal preference. Yet, what wasn't so apparent until Miguel Torres, the fifth generation of the esteemed Catalan winery Torres, completed his oenology studies, was the scarcity of fruity wines in the market. This realization inspired him to create Viña Esmeralda, a white wine that quickly became one of the winery's most iconic offerings, gaining widespread popularity both in Spain and internationally. Crisp, fruity, and easy to drink, this wine has become incredibly versatile, cementing its reputation as a distinguished brand. So much so, that one can find various iterations in white, rosé, and even sparkling forms, further broadening its appeal and reach.

Torres Viña Esmeralda Sparkling is made from Muscat grapes sourced from the winery's own vineyards. Following the manual harvest, the grapes are promptly transported to the winery where they undergo careful selection, destemming, and crushing. The resulting juice ferments with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks, and thereafter, the base wine ages through the traditional bottle fermentation process. After maturing in the bottle for several months, it is finally disgorged.
