About Porrera Vi de Vila

Porrera Vi de Vila is a red wine from the D.O. Priorat produced by Celler Vall-Llach with Carignan (70%) and Grenache (30%) grapes from vines over a hundred years old. The old-age of the vines define this wine´s personality.
The destemmed grapes ferment in wooden barrels and stainless steel deposits. They undergo a cold maceration for 3 days before fermentation. Fermentation occurs at a controlled temperature between 25º and 29º C for a period of 19 days without daily stirring and smooth pump-overs. Post-fermentation maceration lasts for 12 days after a soft pressing. The malolactic fermentation takes place 50% in stainless steel deposits and 50% in the barrel.
This wine has been aged for 16 months in new, lightly toasted, medium-sized and fine-grained French oak barrels.

Porrera Vi de Vila 2021 is a red wine that captivates with its elegance and balance. On the nose, it features intense aromas of black fruits accompanied by subtle hints of spices and a delicate presence of precisely integrated oak. On the palate, it exhibits maturity and power without sacrificing freshness and elegance; well-structured, with firm tannins and a long, persistent finish. An attractive and aromatic red wine, with character and depth.
 
2018 Porrera Vi de Vila 2018 is a supple red wine exuding delectable scents of ripe plum, hints of mountain herbs, and nuances of minerality. On the palate, it is succulent, refined, and harmonious. It displays a keen acidity alongside well-developed tannins and an extensive, balsamic finish.
2009 In the mouth, this wine is intense, fresh and has a great acidity. Bulky mid-palate and long finish.

Dark violet cherry red colour. Bright.

In the nose, it shows intense and concentrated aromas of very ripe plums, mineral notes and pleasant toasted touches.
