About Majas Chardonnay

Majas Chardonnay is a white wine made with the Chardonnay variety by the Majas winery in the VDP Côtes Catalanes.

 Domaine de Majas is the wine project set up by Agnès and Allain Carrère in 1992 between the Fenouillèdes valley and the French Pyrenees. They currently have over 30 hectares of vineyards on their property, which they cultivate following ecocert principles. The project also involves the collaboration of prestigious South African winemaker Tom Lubbe.

Majas Chardonnay comes from 35-year-old, organically-cultivated vineyards planted on clay-calcareous soils. The harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.

The Majas Chardonnay must undergoes alcoholic fermentation with native yeasts at a controlled temperature. Then 90% of the resulting wine ages on its own lees in stainless steel tanks, and the remaining 10% is aged in French oak barrels.

Majas Chardonnay is a white wine that reveals its terroir and expresses the full fruitiness that Chardonnay has to offer.
2017 Majas Chardonnay 2017 is an aromatic white wine where citrus notes of grapefruit and lemon rind stand out. The palate is fresh and crisp, with a slight acidity to finish.
