About Les Creisses Les Brunes

Les Creisses Les Brunes is a wood-aged red wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah grapes by Domaine Les Creisses in the IGP Pays d'Oc in the Languedoc-Roussillon area of France.

Domaine Creisses is a 19th century family estate located between the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains, six kilometres west of the town of Pézenas, in the Occitania region. Since 1998 it has been run by Philippe Chesnelong and, together with his cousin Louis Mitjavile, a respected and prestigious winemaker, they have produced two wines that express the great potential of the terroir.

Les Creisses Les Brunes is a cuvée made from Cabernet Sauvignon vines planted on clay-limestone soils and Mourvèdre vines planted on a basalt hill. They are cultivated using respectful agriculture and organic treatments, and the harvest is carried out manually when the grapes reach optimum ripeness.

In the winery, the Les Creisses Les Brunes grapes are destemmed and then undergo a long maceration. Fermentation takes place in French oak barrels and then the wine is aged for a minimum of 18 months before bottling.

Les Creisses Les Brunes is a little gem for those who love powerful and gourmet wines. A smooth, sweet and deliciously woody wine that perfectly represents the wines of Languedoc-Roussillon.
