About La Guita Manzanilla Pasada en Rama

La Guita Manzanilla en Rama is a generous wine produced by Bodegas de Hijos de Rainera Pérez Marín in Sanlúcar de Barrameda.

Bodegas de Hijos de Rainera Pérez Marín was founded in 1852 in Sanlúcar de Barrameda. Since the very beginning, it has been known as La Guita, giving its name to its most treasured wine, Manzanilla La Guita.

The philosophy of Bodegas de Hijos de Rainera Pérez Marín is based on producing high-quality products offering the best service. Therefore, the vast majority of its wines are made from grapes that come from one of the best farms in Sanlúcar, Pago Miraflores.

In 2007, the winery became part of Grupo Estévez, alongside Valdespino and Marqués del Real Tesoro.

 

La Guita Manzanilla en Rama is a wine made from Palomino Fino, from vineyards located in Pago de Miraflores, one of the most emblematic farms in Sanlúcar.

After the harvest, and after being slightly pressed, the must is left to ferment in stainless steel deposits at a controlled temperature. Once it is classified, it is fortified up to 15% vol. and it enters the "criaderas" and "soleras" system. It goes through a biological ageing process with the yeast cap (velo de flor) in 516-litre American oak butts.

After the oenologists of the winery carry out a careful selection, La Guita Manzanilla en Rama is extracted directly from the best "soleras", and it is bottled without clarifying or stabilising. This way the achieve a unique Manzanilla, which is considered the treasure of the winery.
