In the south of Spain, in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, lies one of the most important winemaking areas, especially for fortified wines. We’re talking about the Pago de Miraflores Baja. And just like the French boast about their crus, the Spanish can see (why not?), because just like the small areas of land in France, Miraflores Baja has unique and inimitable characteristics: white albariza soils (considered to be the highest quality), a location close to the coast and obviously the climate (with many hours of sunshine, Atlantic influences, humid winds from the west and dry and hot summers). However, when it comes to La Bota N.º. 111 of Manzanilla Florpower MMXVIII, things have changed and from the very beginning the company has been committed to pioneering and searching for a vintage and single-plot manzanilla: they say vintage because La Bota N.º. 111 de Manzanilla Florpower MMXVIII comes from the batch that was separated from La Bota N. 97 de Florpower MMXVIII (non-fortified, biologically-aged white wine from the 2018 vintage; and they say single-plot because in La Bota Nº. 111 de Manzanilla Florpower MMXVIII, the Miraflores Baja estate is more present than ever, providing the freshness and salinity that can only be achieved in this part of the world.
