About Enate Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot

Enate Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot is a red wine from the D.O. Somontano produced by Enate, Viñedos y Crianzas del Alto Aragón. This wine is an equal blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, taken from a vineyard cultivated 600 metres above sea level in the Enate valley.
 

The low levels of humidity of the region allow for respectful viticulture, since the vineyards do not require excessive treatment.
 

The grapes are destemmed and are then cold macerated. Fermentation is then carried out at controlled temperatures. Enate Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot is then aged for 6 months in American oak barrels. Finally, the wine rests for one year in the bottle before being placed onto the market.

Enate Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot 2018 boasts a cherry-red hue. Olfactorily, it is sophisticated and refined, exuding forest fruit aromas (currant, blackberry), floral nuances (violet), and hints of pepper and vanilla. On the palate, it is velvety and well-rounded, flavorful, possessing a pleasing acidity and harmonious balance. Exceptionally approachable and enjoyable.

2008 A smooth, very pleasant and easy-drinking wine with a very tasty and intense mid palate in which the fruit and creamy notes take centre stage. Well balanced wine with a light acidity. Good finish.

Intense cherry red colour with garnet edges. Clean and bright wine with abundant thin tears.

Suggestive and complex nose of berries (blackcurrant and blackberry) with elegant floral notes (violet) and hints of pepper, vanilla and undergrowth. Subtle toasted background.
2007 Palate soft and round on a soft mattress that tannic opens way to a final mouth delicious, with notes of torrefacte. Balanced acidity that will improve in the bottle 4 - 5 years.
