About Clos Mesorah Kosher

Clos Mesorah Kosher is a kosher red wine made by Clos Mesorah in the D.O. Montsant (Catalonia) by Elvi Wines. It is a coupage of the Cariñena, Garnacha and Syrah varieties.

Elviwines is a leading company in the production of quality kosher wines. These are wines that are produced according to Kashrut laws, the dietary regulations of the Jewish religion. Taking into account the expression of the unique character of each area, they currently produce wines in different Spanish denominations of origin such as Rioja, Ribera de Jucar, La Mancha, Montsant, Priorat, Cava and Alella. Clos Mesorah Kosher is made in Clos Mesorah, in the heart of Montsant.

Clos Mesorah Kosher is the result of three very characteristic Montsant (Tarragona) varieties. It comes from 80-year-old Cariñena vines, 18 to 65-year-old Garnacha strains and 18-year-old Syrah vines. Traditional agriculture is practiced taking into account the terroir and biodiversity. The harvest is carried out manually at the best time for each variety.

To make Clos Mesorah Kosher, each variety vinifies separately. When the grapes have been destemmed, the must obtained from each of them ferments spontaneously at a controlled temperature. Finally, the wine ages in French oak barrels for 14 months.

Clos Mesorah Kosher is a complex and elegant red wine made under the strict Sephardi laws. Pure Montsant without any animal origin additives.

2021

Clos Mesorah Kosher 2021 is a red wine that stands out for its fruity and mature character. On the nose, aromas of red fruits such as cherry and raspberry are perceived, accompanied by spicy notes and a subtle touch of wood. On the palate, it is full-bodied and balanced, with ripe tannins and notable depth. Its concentrated and elegant flavour culminates in a long and pleasant finish.
2016 Clos Mesorah Kosher 2016 is a smooth red wine with rich aromas of ripe red fruit and touches of wood. On the palate it is fresh, elegant and complex. It has silky tannins and long aftertaste.
