Arnaud Lambert Clos David is a white wine made in the Loire in the AOC Saumur denomination by winemaker Arnaud Lambert with the Chenin Blanc variety.
When Arnaud Lambert took on the family winemaking project in the heart of the Saumur denomination, it quickly became a benchmark in the Loire. A superior quality vineyard with 15 hectares of vines in Saint Cyr en Bourg and 15 hectares in Brézé resulting in clean, precise and elegant wines with a pure Saumur style.
Arnaud Lambert Clos David is made in vineyards planted on sandy-loam and limestone soils. The vines are 40 years old on average and have been cultivated using certified organic agriculture since 2012 and biodynamic treatments since 2018. Vine yields are limited to 45 hl/ha and the harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.
Once the Arnaud Lambert Clos David grapes have been destemmed and crushed, they undergo spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with native yeasts. Finally, the wine is aged for 24 months in 2 and 3 year old oak barrels.
