About Aalto Blanco de Parcela

Aalto Blanco de Parcela is a single-varietal verdejo aged in wood. Created by Aalto, it is the first white wine crafted by the renowned winemaker Mariano García in the DO Ribera del Duero, Castilla y León (Spain).

Aalto is the project that emerged in 1999, spearheaded by Mariano García and Javier Zaccagnini in the prestigious wine-producing region of the Ribera del Duero. This winery produces wines that truly reflect the diversity of the terroirs and, with 20 years of history, has become one of the great ambassadors of this denomination of origin on an international scale.

Aalto Blanco de Parcela originates from Fuente de las Hontanillas, a plot located in the Valladolid town of Quintanilla de Arriba at an altitude of 900 metres above sea level. These are verdejo vines planted in predominantly limestone soils, cultivated with respect for the environment and in accordance with the vineyard's natural cycles.

In the winery, once the grapes of Aalto Blanco de Parcela are meticulously selected, they are gently pressed and the resulting must undergoes fermentation with native yeasts at a controlled temperature. Afterwards, the wine rests on lees in 225-litre French oak barrels for approximately one year.

Discovering the first white wine from one of the benchmark wineries of the Ribera del Duero is always a pleasure. Aalto Blanco de Parcela is an elegant and sophisticated verdejo that beautifully combines complexity and freshness.

Aalto Blanco de Parcela 2022 is a white wine with an exquisite aromatic fullness. Aromas reminiscent of red apples and pears emerge, accompanied by a refreshing hint of orange peel. On the palate, it presents a pleasant volume, fresh and dynamic. An elegant Verdejo, with a long and persistent finish.
